Cadet of the Year

To commend Cadets for their effort and outstanding performance, the award "Cadet of the Year" was established.  Every year, Youth / Hong Kong Island & Kowloon Command and Youth / New Territories Command select an awardee of “Cadet of the Year” respectively in accordance with the following assessment criteria.

1. Efficiency
2. Service Performance
3. Participation in Proficiency Courses
4. Awards
5. Overall Participation
6. Interview/ Selection Performance

Regarding the selection process, the two Commands will first select an awardee of "Regional Cadet of the Year" from each Region, who will then compete for the award "Cadet of the Year" of his/her respective Commands through assessment and interview.  A certificate will be given to each awardee, as well as a lapel pin, which can be worn on the cadet uniform at all times.
