Officer Cadet
Officer Cadet is the highest rank among Cadets of Hong Kong St. John Ambulance
Brigade Youth Command.
After having obtained a bachelor's degree and passed
the examination and interview of the Officer Training Course,
an Officer Cadet can
be promoted to an Ambulance Officer.
Cadets fulfilling the following
requirements can be
appointed as Officer Cadet:
1. Aged 19 or above
2. Holder of valid Adult First Aid
Certificate
3. Currently enrolled in a bachelor's
degree programme
4. Passed the physical examination
5. With outstanding performance and the
recommendation by the divisional
officer-in-charge and the endorsement by the
corps officer-in-charge
6. With the approval by the regional
officer-in-charge
and the appointment by the Commissioner
Cadet Leader
Both cadet
members or Non-commissioned Officer ("NCOs") can be
appointed as
Cadet Leader. A Cadet Leader can be promoted
to a Probationary Ambulance Officer
upon passing
of the examination and interview.
Cadet members or NCOs fulfilling the
following requirements can be
appointed as Cadet Leader:
1. Aged 18 or above (under 21 years of age)
2. Holder of valid Adult First Aid
Certificate
3. With the recommendation by the
divisional officer-in-charge and the endorsement
by the corps officer-in-charge
4. With the approval by the regional
officer-in-charge
and the appointment by the Commissioner
Non-commissioned Officer
Non-commissioned Officers (NCOs) include
Cadet Corporal and Cadet Sergeant.
Cadet member shall meet the respective basic
requirements in order to be appointed
as Cadet Corporal or promoted to Cadet
Sergeant.

Every Cadet shall wear the enrolment badge on his/her uniform.
