Family Fun Day

Hong Kong St. John Ambulance devotes to raise the public health awareness.  Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Brigade Youth Command ("Youth Command") has held the roving Family Fun Day in different districts to deliver health messages since 2002.  Moreover, support among family members and a caring family relationship are vital to personal health and mental health.  With the support from the Family Council, this project has been included in the family health category in recent years, and funding is provided to support its implementation.

Through exhibitions, demonstrations and stage performance, participants are able to learn more about the services, activities and training provided by Hong Kong St. John Ambulance Brigade, and thus promoting the importance of first-aid to personal and family health.  Youth Command also liaises with external organisations from different sectors to provide medical check-ups, free Chinese medicine consultations, mass games, game booths and variety shows so as to broaden the knowledge of the public on health and arouse their awareness of family care.

Symposium 2018

Youth Command reached an important milestone in 2018.  In order to celebrate its 70th Anniversary, a series of events was held and the Symposium 2018 was one of them.  The symposium was sponsored by the Thematic Sponsorship Scheme by the Family Council.  Officials of the HKSAR government, Heads of youth uniformed groups, school principals, teachers, representatives of parents-teacher associations and youth representatives were invited to attend the Symposium, which aimed to provide a platform for the stakeholders to exchange theeir views on issues of concern such as government policies on youth development, educational objectives of families and schools, and life planning.
